Interview with James

Hello~

This video was made with the intention of speaking with an English native. I was pretty nervous and shy because I'd never spoken with an English people. On the other hand, I didn't know what to ask him. However, I could understand almost everything he said.

Now I feel good about myself because after all the suffering in the English class I know I can understand and speak slowly with other people. 

James is Australian and he is visiting Puebla because his friends recommended him. He was nice with us. Also, he was patient and I'm grateful that he agreed to talk to us. 

Sorry for all the background noise, it was made by protesters and we couldn't do anything.  

Hush, Hush 

Hush, hush was written by Becca Fitzpatrick and it’s about Nora Gray. She gets into a strange world full of secrets. Moreover, she must start to take care of herself and not trust anyone.

In my opinion, I love and recommend that book because it’s so exciting. However, it’s the typical romantic cliché about the good girl who falls in love with the bad boy but the story has a marvelous touch of suspense and makes it totally an addictive story. Besides I've not yet read the other books, my purpose is to read the English version.

Social Life

Well, in this video Sharmell, Laura, Karla, Sofia and I talked about a friend trip to some country. Finally, we chose Germany.

We discussed different places and what activities we would do. I proposed Baden-Baden. It is a town where you can relax in different spas or thermal baths, enjoy the Victorian architecture and camp in the beautiful forest. As each one wanted to visit their places that they chose. Hence, we decided to visit each place and enjoy to travel around Germany.

In my opinion, I really wish to travel to Baden-Baden because it sounds awesome and I can take a whole day of relaxation.

👵60's vs 2017👧 lifestyle 

This video was made to show you some differences between the life of the past and the life present. As I've told you there are a lot of differences but I think in both times has good and bad things. For example, before it was so difficult to travel from where I live to Cholula because there weren't buses. Also, if you wanted to go and buy something you had to go on foot, ride a bike or just by cart. That happened 57 years ago or more and now there are buses to Puebla center.

Another fact is that the people were fitter than now because they ate food totally natural without pesticide. Hence, the people almost never got sick.

But now we have technology and we can do anything we want. The women are free to think whatever they want. Also, they can study and can be who they want because before there was machismo.

I don't exactly if I agree with the life of the past or present but the only thing that I know is that I love my lifestyle and I guess I prefer the present.

Job 

Hello!

This is a video about my future job as well as the advantages and disadvantages of being a teacher. 

In this profession, you can get satisfaction about yourself when your students acquire a new knowledge. Also, I think this job is stressful because in the classrooms there are some students who never pay attention or just they don't do anything. Hence, the teacher needs to exert himself a little bit more to get the student learn. 

In addition, I talk about an important fact "The school", because in this times if you don't have a degree, you can't get an ideal job. Well, only if you want to be a slave. 

Remember if you want a good job, you need to work hard!

Job application 

Hi!

Well, now I wrote a waitress request at Mi Viejo Pueblito. I have some experiences as waitress due to I studied "Alimentos y Bebidas" at CONALEP and I'd had to do social service at Hotel Fiesta Inn. The employees teach me some techniques to do customer service and how to deal with the special customer. Also, I know I need to work with an impeccable uniform and good attitude. Besides I have worked as a packer, I know the kind of customer and their attitudes. Also, I know about cleaning in my workplace and the most important thing, handle money. 

I think these skills give a lot of opportunities to get the job.

I am writing to apply for the job of a waitress at the coffee shop “Mi Viejo Pueblito”, which you advertised in the newspaper “El Sol de Puebla”. 

I am a student at the “Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla” and I’m available to work after 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. as your advertisement says.

A job with you will be an exciting opportunity for me to learn new skills and to work in a new environment. I have a lot of experiences of working in a team, be friendly with the customers, to serve the table and be quick to take orders. My experience in doing social service as a cook and working as a packer will be very useful for this job.

Email invitation 

Hi, guys!

I've written an email to  Sharmell and I invite her to my imaginary birthday's party.  The reason to choose Sharmell because she's so fun and she puts atmosphere at parties. 

As you can read, I try to convince her to go. I tell her some our friends will coming and my idea to eat at a Chinese restaurant. At last, I tell her about the idea from our friends to bringing some videos for the party. Also, at the beginning, I  make a friendly joke about her dream to try to cheer things up. 

I really want that she accept my invitation with this email, that I've written with love.

Well, I’m writing to invite you to my birthday’s party, as you know, is on Friday, 28th October, I wish that you’re free that day. I’m going to rent a Chinese restaurant Loong Hing because I really love this kind of food like you. 

I’m inviting some friends, do you remember Karla, Laura, and Hilda? They were our friends from college and they accepted my invitation.  The girls will come at 4 p.m.
